Project summary:

This project is initiated by Ministry of Environment , Water , and Agriculture , General Directorate for Water Resources and it is the first project in which the Ministry assigns a consultant on the Drilling Contractor . Following is a brief description of the project :

• Drilling (22) water monitoring wells along all the saudi borders (Drilling Contrcator) .
• Rehabilitation of (45) existing Monitoring wells on Saudi Borders ( Drilling Contrcator) .
• Supervising all the Drilling Work for the new (22) wells and also for Rehabilitation of (45) wells along all the Saudi Borders. This work will be done by the main consultant (Technology Experts Company ) – Riyadh

Project summary:

The project was to conduct a radiological baseline level study for the Ar rjum Gold prospect area including the following tasks:

• Spectral gamma ray filed survey and External Dose filed survey.
• Collecting Rock, water and Aerosols samples
• Conduct in-situ Rn-222 gas measurement in soil, air and water.
• PM2.5 and PM 10 investigation
• Spectral gamma ray lab analysis in Soil, water and areosl filter. Alpha lab analysis in water samples
• reporting, data analysis and risk assessment using GIS software and RESRAD Modelling code

•  Determine in detail the physical, chemical, and radioactive form of radium presence on cartridge filters.
• Do experimental tests to find the best conditions for:
• -efficient radium removal from these filters
• -best acceptable solid radium compound form for safe disposal.
• Design and build a reliable and safe practical decontamination unit to reduce NORM size and convert removed radium in solid salt form.
• Contain the resultant minimized NORM to the client.

• 16 soil samples were collected from the selected 2 farms Including radiological Surveys and Spectral Gamma assays.
